Race to Zero Waste
The San Francisco-based nonprofit Race to Zero Waste was founded to promote zero-waste principles such as reuse, source reduction, and avoiding single-use plastic.
Its goal is to build a global network of individuals and organizations that can offer effective solutions to communities.
As both entities, Race to Zero Waste and Go Zero Waste have the same goals, mission and vision, we decided to collaborate on the annual October Zero Waste Month project with our App and the Move for Zero campaign .

What was done?
Selection of the challenges
In the first phase, we jointly selected the challenges that would be launched through social media (Bingo-style) and the challenges that would be launched through the Go Zero Waste app.
Selection of the awards
The campaign not only wanted to promote zero waste but also promote local commerce, so we decided that the prizes would be eight gift cards worth €25 each to spend at local businesses.
Creation of a communication campaign
We designed different communications to explain the project to the Race to Zero Waste community.

✅ The best way to manage waste is not to generate it.
✅ Small daily gestures like using reusable bottles, buying in bulk, or repairing items make a big impact.
✅ Waste prevention brings environmental, economic, and social benefits
✅ Companies, city councils and educational centers can adopt measures that help prevent
