The La Plana Community is a supra-municipal public body made up of 12 municipalities with a total population of 34,934 inhabitants.

On this occasion, we were asked to develop, launch, and communicate a campaign to promote local commerce and waste reduction in Tona and Taradell.

With this Move for Zero campaign in Tona and Taradell, we organized four environmental education activities and proposed 30 challenges to its residents. Among all participants, we raffled off 20 €50 gift cards to spend at sustainable businesses in the two municipalities.

Campaign Summary Video

Why a campaign to promote local trade and reduce waste?

A campaign like Moving Towards Zero has many benefits, both environmentally and socially and economically.

✅ To take care of the environment

· Through activities and challenges, we reduce the waste we generate.

· By promoting the purchase of products in bulk or in reusable containers, we avoid a lot of waste, such as single-use plastics.

✅ To strengthen the local economy

· Buying from local businesses supports local consumption and creates jobs in the surrounding area.

✅ Promote a more sustainable model.

· Promoting responsible consumption is key to transitioning toward a  circular economy that prioritizes reduction, reuse, repair, and, ultimately, recycling.
