Balsareny Town Hall
The Balsareny City Council wanted to promote local commerce and waste reduction through the Move for Zero campaign, and thanks to the financial support of the Barcelona Provincial Council (through its environmental education service catalog), we were able to launch the campaign.
Balsareny is a town of 3,328 inhabitants located in the Bages region. One of its illustrious founders is Pere Casaldàliga, who was a candidate for the Nobel Peace Prize.

What was done?
Selection of the challenges
Various meetings were organized with the Balsareny city council and with the municipality’s social organizations that also wanted to participate in the campaign.
Selection of activities
For the campaign, we decided to carry out three environmental education activities: waste collection in nature, storytelling for children, and a talk on sustainable menstruation.
Selection of awards
The prizes up for grabs were 15 €50 gift cards to spend at local businesses.
Creation of a communication campaign
We designed a website to explain the challenges, prizes, and how the campaign works.
We printed posters with the campaign’s QR code, and an official presentation was held in the civic center’s auditorium.
