Hi!
We are Magda and Martí
We founded Go Zero Waste to promote the 3Rs: Reduction, Reuse, and Recycling.
· We believe that the best way to take action and improve recycling is by proposing small actions and challenges to the population.
· In addition, we focus our campaigns on sustainability and based on the principles of the circular economy.
What is a recycling campaign?
Awareness
Teach why it is important in terms of waste reduction and energy saving, and how to do it right.
Practical action
We propose activities and challenges to put into practice everything we have learned in the campaign.
Prizes for the best participants
We are raffling off €50 gift cards to spend in local businesses among the best participants.
Why is recycling important?
Conservation of natural resources
When we recycle, we avoid extracting new raw materials.
Energy saving
Manufacturing a product from scratch (with virgin materials) consumes much more energy than manufacturing it with recycled materials.
Waste reduction
Products that are not recycled end up in landfills or in the environment.
What are the objectives of a recycling campaign?
SDG 11 | Cities and
sustainable communities
Improve environmental management
To make our environment a cleaner, safer, and more resilient place to live.
ODS 12 | Producción y
consumo responsables
Promote the circular economy
By recycling, we ensure that resources remain useful instead of being wasted.
ODS 13 | Acción por el clima
Mitigating climate change
Recycling is a direct and daily way to fight global warming
How does the campaign work?
We work with local councils , environmental departments and environmental NGOs to design an action plan focused on promoting recycling among the population.
Situation Analysis
We conducted an audit of the waste generated by the population to identify opportunities for improvement.
Strategy design
We devised a plan for campaign preparation, execution and post-campaign
Communication design
We create the necessary communication materials both online and offline
Campaign Implementation
We present the challenges and activities that will help promote recycling.
Monitoring and promotion
During the campaign we accompanied the participants and businesses to achieve maximum participation.
Closing ceremony and awards presentation
We are raffling off €50 gift cards to spend in local businesses.

Where do we conduct our recycling campaigns?
Villages
- In villages we create challenges designed to be done as a community or activities that promote recycling in a creative way.
- We add establishments that promote the circular economy and zero waste and explain their good practices.
- We hold competitions in the village schools where we propose creating artistic works with recycled objects.
Cities
- We collaborate with trade associations to coordinate the campaign and co-create the challenges .
- We do reports on the businesses most committed to sustainability in the city.
- We organize activities like plogging to raise awareness about the importance of reducing waste.
- Campaigns with local influencers on social media and on the campaign website.
Joint municipalities
- We devised activities that can be carried out simultaneously in all the towns of the association.
- Social media campaigns with a single message.
- Meetings between people and associations to share good practices.
- Transparency and traceability : allowing customers to see the positive impact of recycled products.
Testimonials
Why implement recycling campaigns?
Reduce the impropers
We promote a better understanding among the population of where each product goes.
Municipal economic savings
The more tons of waste sent to the landfill, the more the city council will pay, and consequently, the citizens.
Meeting European targets
If local councils do not recycle 55% or 60% by 2030, they face multimillion-dollar fines.
Social cohesion
Uniting citizens, schools, and businesses under a common goal.
Guaranteeing the future
Habits take time to form. What is an effort for an adult today can be automatic for a child if they are taught well.
Help with digitization
Through our app, people can discover establishments near them and the good practices they implement.
FAQS
It is a campaign that uses climate action and gamification to promote recycling in a fun and practical way.
The campaigns are designed for different types of audiences: people of all ages, local establishments and businesses, and the entire education system where the recyclers of today and tomorrow are located.
As part of the campaigns we offer a catalog of practical and educational activities related to the challenges we pose, such as recycling workshops, creation of works with recycled products and awareness activities such as plogging where they see with their own eyes the waste that is in the activities.
We propose challenges related to recycling and responsible consumption. For example: zero-waste shopping or food waste reduction.
Each campaign has a fixed price based on its duration, the number of challenges, and the activities included. The shortest campaigns last one month, and the longest last one year.
In many cities, the campaign can be subsidized thanks to the support of provincial councils or intermunicipal associations . For example, in the province of Barcelona, the campaign can be carried out through the Barcelona Provincial Council’s Services Catalogue under the Environmental Education category .
