Client
Privalia (now Veepe) has launched several specific services to close the life cycle of textile products. With its Recycle and Re-turn services, it aims to promote the circular economy. On this occasion, they asked us to organize a beach cleanup with their team in Barcelona/Hospitalet de Llobregat.
Goals
SDG 11 | Cities and
communities
sustainable
Promote social cohesion
A clean beach is part of a healthy urban space.
SDG 12 | Production and
responsible consumption
Raising awareness about consumption and waste
Collecting waste not only cleans the beach, but also highlights the problem of single-use consumption.
SDG 13 |
Climate action
Fight against climate change
It promotes behavioral changes that reduce the carbon footprint.
What was done?
The activity took place on Barceloneta Beach in Barcelona.
First, we requested the necessary permits to carry out the activity, and once granted, we rented a bus to facilitate transport from the Privalia offices in Hospitalet de Llobregat to Barceloneta Beach.
During one hour , 6.4 kg of waste were collected in an area of 100 x 30 meters.
In addition to the direct environmental action, the event aimed to raise awareness about sustainable habits , promoting responsible purchasing and the reduction of single-use products. After the cleanup, participants were encouraged to continue their journey towards zero waste through challenges launched privately on the Go Zero Waste app .

Why a beach cleanup?
Beach cleanups are chosen as a strategic activity because they act as a catalyst for raising awareness.
Furthermore, a beach cleanup is a direct and highly visible action that improves the natural environment , reduces pollution, and protects marine biodiversity.
✅ Visualizing the problem (the impact of the invisible)
✅ Immediate and local action
✅ Catalyst for habit change
✅ Teamwork and commitment
