We set out plans to minimise the carbon footprint by understanding the impact generated by each type of waste.

What was done?

Planning and coordination

In a first phase, we worked in coordination with the Calmell Group team to gather all the prior information needed to organise the audit, setting objectives and an execution schedule.

Circular Economy Audit

On the day of the audit, all the waste generated in Calmell Group’s two industrial warehouses during the same period of time was collected, documented and analysed.

Results and implementation

Once the results had been analysed, we shared them with the whole team and jointly developed an implementation plan in coordination with the different departments. In addition, a challenge-based dynamic was created to propose sustainable improvements within the company.

Recogimos los residuos generados en cada espacio de la empresa y los etiquetamos, pesamos y procesamos.

We collected the waste generated in each area of the company and labelled, weighed and processed it.

Why is a waste audit important?

A waste audit is a key tool for knowing precisely the quantity, type and destination of the waste an organisation generates. Its importance lies in the fact that it makes it possible to identify opportunities for improvement in environmental management, ensure regulatory compliance and align business activity with the Sustainable Development Goals. It also helps to reduce costs, improve corporate reputation and minimise the environmental impact associated with operations.

✅ Efficiency and savings: reduce costs through optimised waste management

✅ Regulatory compliance and lower risk of environmental penalties

✅ A boost to the circular economy: more recycling and less waste

✅ Contribution to the SDGs and an improved sustainable image for the company
