Together, we can transform our community and show that a zero waste lifestyle is possible!

How to get started in zero waste?
Act
Rethink, reject, reduce, reuse, repair and recycle. The best waste is the one that is not generated. Zero Waste is not about buying the latest eco-friendly product, but about using what you already have, reducing your needs and always prioritising reduction and prevention over other RRRs.

We invite you to look around you, at home or at work. Observe the type of waste that is generated the most and start reducing from there. If you can, measure it, even if it’s just with a photo.
This way you can assess your progress and celebrate small victories!

‘We don’t need a handful of people doing zero waste perfectly. We need millions of people doing it imperfectly.’ This maxim by Anne Marie Bonneau perfectly sums up what is essential on this path: progress over perfection.
It’s about doing what you can, with what you have, and enjoying the process. We are here to accompany you on this path and learn together.
Zero Waste is not just a theoretical framework, it is a daily practice made up of many decisions and (re)learnings that, with the sum of many people, are shaping another model of consumption and society.

Frequently Asked Questions
Achieving zero waste may sound difficult or even impossible. But what is possible is to significantly reduce the amount of waste we generate. In many cases, it also means saving time and money.
Always start by looking at the trash you normally generate, whether at home or at work. Which products are repeated the most? Which ones are avoidable? Start reducing from there and you will notice important changes.
Also think about ways to buy less stuff, use more of what you already have and extend the life of the objects you already have at home.
To be a zero waste person you can adopt these habits:
· Reject what you don’t need (like flyers you get on the street) or beers in bars.
· Reduce consumption of products that have a short lifespan and opt for products that don’t have planned obsolescence or are easy to repair.
· Reuse bags, containers, glasses, box-n-rolls, boxes, etc…
· Compost the organic waste you generate.
We created Go Zero Waste to help people on the path to zero waste. We do this in different ways:
You can download our app to find stores near you that facilitate less plastic and more waste-free shopping
You can sign up for one of our talks and workshops or organize an educational or awareness-raising activity with us
You can encourage your company or school to create a challenge with us to encourage other people to join in on more sustainable actions
