What is World Cleanup Day?

World Cleanup Day is an international event that calls on people and organizations from around the world to voluntarily participate in a collective beach cleanup in their locality or region.

The initiative was born in 2008 in Estonia and ten years later it has millions of volunteers in more than 150 countries.

The objective is clear: organize to clean up trash in an area, whether it is a beach, a river, a forest or another natural space.

World Cleanup Day is the largest of the projects organized by the Let’s Do it World organization, which seeks to mobilize citizens to create a better world. Sounds good doesn’t it?
