Hi!
We are Magda and Martí
We founded Go Zero Waste to promote sustainability and the circular economy :
· With our sustainable menstruation workshop we will show you much more sustainable alternatives to disposable menstrual products.
· We will answer questions about the alternatives and show them live.

What is a sustainable menstruation workshop?
Educational and informative space
Designed to promote a more health- and environmentally friendly menstrual cycle management.
Breaking taboos
Removing the stigma surrounding menstruation and eco-friendly alternatives.
Open dynamics
Open conversation to demystify erroneous beliefs and normalize menstruation.
Why is sustainable menstruation important?

															Massive waste reduction
Traditional disposable products are made largely of plastic and take hundreds of years to decompose.

															Greater security and self-awareness
Reusable products, made with materials such as medical-grade silicone or organic cotton, are considered safer.

															Long-term savings
Although the initial investment may be higher, in the long term they represent very considerable savings.
What are our goals?

															SDG 11 | Cities and
sustainable communities

Improve the management of municipal solid waste
Reducing menstrual waste eases the burden on waste management systems.

															SDG 12 | Production and
responsible consumption

Promote a change in consumption patterns
Reduce the use of single-use products through prevention, reduction, recycling, and reuse.

															SDG 13 | Climate Action

															Reduce your carbon footprint
Reduce GHG emissions generated during their production and during their decomposition in landfills.

Why hold a sustainable menstruation workshop?
Mitigating Plastic Pollution
The workshops educate about the large volume of plastic waste (disposable towels and tampons) that ends up in landfills and oceans.
Promote economic savings
Traditional menstruation generates a fixed and constant expense. Reusable products are much more economical in the long run.
Promoting intimate health
We learn about the benefits of using products made with safe materials.
Breaking the taboo and the stigma
The workshop creates a safe space to talk openly about the menstrual cycle. By demystifying bleeding and normalizing the process, people are empowered and feelings of shame or discomfort are eliminated.
Promote Menstrual Education
Beyond the products themselves, the workshops are a tool for self-discovery . They teach people to understand the phases of their cycle, how hormones influence their mood, and how to use menstruation as an indicator of health.
Contribute to the 2030 Agenda (SDGs)
By promoting waste reduction (SDG 12) and combating environmental pollution (SDG 13), the workshop becomes a concrete action that supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at the local level.
FAQS
It’s simply about using reusable period products (like menstrual cups or cloth pads) instead of throwing them away each time. It’s better for your health, your wallet, and the planet.
A full range of alternatives is presented: menstrual cups , period panties , and cloth pads . No prior purchase is required; the workshop focuses on information, safe use, and product demonstrations.
Ideally, attendance should be mixed . One of the main objectives is to break the taboo from adolescence, which requires everyone’s participation to denormalize shame and foster respect and understanding between genders.
Each workshop has a fixed price depending on whether it is in person or online.
In many cities, the workshop can be subsidized thanks to the support of the provincial councils or city councils .
Companies may be eligible for funding through FUNDAE.
