In honor of Earth Day, we’re launching the Zero Waste Global Challenge, our first global challenge campaign to promote the reduction of single-use plastic and waste, thanks to the support of the Sustainable Ocean Alliance (SOA). 🌊
For three months, we challenged people around the world to share 15 actions to move toward a trash-free planet

What was done?
1. 📲 Download the Go Zero Waste app on your Android or iOS phone and sign up.
2. ✅ Access the Challenges section and activate the Global Challenge
3. 🤳 Select as many challenges as you like and send us photos of your Zero Waste actions.
4. 🏆 With each completed challenge, collect points for monthly rewards!

The importance of gamification
The challenges section of the Go Zero Waste app has been specially designed to promote direct action through challenges, a strategy
based on a game that seeks to bring sustainability and conscious consumption closer to citizens in a fun and entertaining way.
Each accounted action counts the amount of waste saved and accumulates points that the participant can use to access raffles or direct rewards.
Every day, we work to improve the gaming experience for users to make it easier for more people to join in taking actions that reduce waste.
About the Zero Waste Global Challenge
The “Zero Waste Global Challenge” is a global campaign to promote waste and single-use plastic reduction among citizens around the world through challenges.
With this global campaign, we aim to encourage citizen participation to achieve a more sustainable society through environmental education, the promotion of local commerce, and waste reduction.
This global campaign builds on the experience of the local campaigns we’ve been running over the past year under the slogan “Move for Zero!” We’ve engaged various organizations, schools, businesses, and local governments, overcoming more than 3,000 challenges to date.
Why a global challenge campaign?
At Go Zero Waste, we develop solutions to facilitate a zero-waste life based on technology and education. Our goal is to support individuals, businesses, and local governments on their path to zero waste through products and services that help prevent and reduce waste, such as the Go Zero Waste app and personalized Go Zero Waste campaigns.
We also offer talks and workshops to raise awareness about Zero Waste and the Circular Economy, in our quest to educate all audiences about sustainability.
