Why is it important to be a circular and sustainable educational center?
Education for the Future and Environmental Awareness
School is the first place outside the home where values are instilled. By integrating sustainability and circularity, the importance of caring for the planet is taught from an early age , shaping the next generation of responsible leaders and consumers.
Positive Impact on the Community and Society
Students take the sustainable values and practices they learn at school back to their homes and neighborhoods. This creates a ripple effect that can transform consumption habits and waste management practices throughout the community.
Improvement of the Learning Environment and Wellbeing
A school committed to sustainability improves its reputation and can attract families and teaching staff who value these ethical principles.
What are our goals?
SDG 11 | Cities and
sustainable communities
Raising awareness about the problems
Climate change, waste generation, loss of biodiversity
SDG 12 | Production and
responsible consumption
Integrating the 3Rs into education
Promote practices of reduction, reuse and recycling.
SDG 13 | Climate Action
Raise environmental awareness
Raising awareness and educating about good sustainable practices.
Characteristics of climate actions
Duration
The climate action usually lasts 1 hour and 30 minutes. We always allow time for questions from the participants.
Location
Activities can be done in person or online
Materials
We take care of bringing all the necessary materials
Practical approach
It includes dynamics, real-life examples, and activities where participants put what they have learned into practice.
Post-action orientation
We propose challenges that participants can complete at the end of the activity.
And above all: have fun!
We learn in a friendly, relaxed and fun environment.

Where do we carry out our activities?
Nursery and primary school
- Example of activity: we carried out a storytelling session about the 3 Rs (reduction, reuse and recycling) in a nursery school in Les Cabanyes.
- The students learned how in nature there is no waste and everything is transformed and used to the fullest.
- Then we offered them toys made from recycled and upcycled materials.
Institutes
- For example, at the Vedruna Institute in Vilafranca del Penedés we held a book exchange workshop and a workshop on reuse with Boc’n’rolls.
- The students brought books they had already read at home and we exchanged them in class.
Universities
- Example of activity: we gave the talk on Waste to Resource at the Autonomous University of Barcelona
Testimonios
What benefits do our activities have for educational centers?
Values Development
It promotes responsibility, respect for the environment and solidarity. The campaign becomes a direct tool to achieve the recycling, reuse and waste reduction objectives (especially plastics) imposed by regional, national and European legislation (SDGs 12 and 13).
Economic Boost and Resilience of Local Commerce
It helps students reflect on their actions and the impact they have on the planet.
Strengthens values
Align values, strengthen bonds, and build a more coherent and sustainable culture.
Encourage participation
We encourage everyone to contribute their knowledge and for us all to share the best practices we implement.
Sustainable habits
It promotes practices such as recycling, reuse, energy saving and responsible consumption from an early age.
Post-action follow-up
We provide all participants with a guide containing tips and suggestions so they can continue learning after the workshop.
