Circular Challenge of the Month
Those who set themselves a challenge each month turn learning into a habit and growth into a constant.
Hi!
We are Magda and Martí
We founded Go Zero Waste to promote sustainability and the circular economy through gamification and environmental education.
· The challenges have to do with sustainable habits and shopping at local businesses.
· In addition, we empower participants with data on the impact their actions can have.
· Finally, we awarded prizes such as gift cards to the best participants.
What is the monthly zero waste challenge?
Learn at your own pace
Zero Waste is an imperfect path full of learning and unlearning. It’s a different process for everyone, influenced by social and cultural factors such as lifestyle, where you live, and your education.
Gamification
At Go Zero Waste, we believe in creating challenges because they are a dynamic and fun way to progress toward your goals while sharing knowledge. It’s about everyone moving at their own pace , but with the advantages of participating in a collective challenge where you can share and learn from each other.
Rewards and discounts
In addition to creating an environmental and social impact, you can win prizes and discounts among all participants.
Why is the monthly circular challenge important?
Continuous learning
By focusing on one specific habit each month , it facilitates learning and the gradual integration of sustainable practices into daily life. It helps make Zero Waste less overwhelming, turning knowledge into real action.
Less waste and more savings
All the challenges are related to waste reduction and prevention , which minimizes the environmental footprint. In addition, many challenges promote using what you already have or buying in bulk, resulting in cost savings for participants.
It promotes participation, community, and local commerce.
As a shared challenge, it motivates and influences family, friends, and colleagues, strengthening community values. Furthermore, it promotes conscious consumption by connecting users with local businesses that facilitate a zero-waste lifestyle.

Race to Zero Waste
🚀 During the past month of October we proposed 30 challenges to promote zero waste globally.
🗣In addition to the challenges, we also interviewed experts on greenwashing, e-waste solutions, incineration, and climate justice.
🤝 UKWIN , Adasonia Green , Zero Waste North America, and Green Education US joined the campaign
Tatay
🚀 For several months we proposed the “It’s Time to Change” campaign to our community, inviting all Tatay customers to bring their obsolete plastic containers to participating hardware stores to give them a second life and receive a discount on a new Tatay reusable container.
🤝 More than 180 hardware stores joined and we appeared in several media outlets including El9Nou.
Good Karma Projects
🚀 Taking advantage of World Environment Day, we are launching the challenge to collect three types of waste found in nature (whether in the forest, in rivers, on the beach or in the seas).
🏆 We’re raffling off several prizes among all participants, including a reusable water bottle, gift card, and discounts.

We asked ourselves these same questions. That’s why we created Go Zero Waste, with the idea of making a zero-waste life easier.
It all started when Magda and Martí, the co-founders, began their journey to reduce waste in their daily lives. After much learning, the Go Zero Waste app was born, a tool to help individuals and organizations move towards zero waste.
